KGNW Welcome

The situation on the ground for Christians in Jos, Nigeria, has reached horrific proportions, and emergency supplies like food, clothing, bedding, and medical aid are needed now.

Many of the people fleeing their homes were not able to take anything with them — so they have no money, food, or clothing to help them survive.

  • According to eye witnesses, 300 to 400 Fulani came through the villages, armed with AK-47s, machetes, and sticks, attacking the most vulnerable.
  • Security forces were nowhere to be seen — the attacks went on for hours …
  • I saw cars filled with families trying to escape …
  • Many homes were looted or burned to the ground …
  • People are too afraid to go back to their villages — some say they never want to return …
  • The nearby hospital was full of children seeking care — some of them lost both parents.

For years, Christians in Nigeria have been targeted by Islamists for religious cleansing.

But with these most recent attacks, the violence has reached a new peak.

CSI is there taking care of the victims, but time is of the essence.
